Alex Eagle’s celebrity virtual car boot sale in aid of Women for Women International is back for another year, launching tomorrow, Saturday 15th May 2021 at 11am (though you can get a sneak peek by registering here).
As with previous iterations, leading designers, fashion editors, icons, celebrities and coveted brands have donated items from their personal closets to support Women for Women International’s work with 100% of the proceeds from the Virtual Car Boot Sale going the charity which supports women living in some of the world’s most dangerous places.
This year’s selection is even better than the last, with designer items donated by the likes of Poppy Delevingne, Sophie Turner and Jenna Colman. Look out for Laura Bailey’s Chanel coat and a Givenchy Shopper Bag from Kate Moss.
There are also donations from brands including Christian Dior, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Loewe and Manolo Blahnik.
As well as fashion finds, you’ll also be able to stock up on beauty items and homeware finds (new to the car boot), all guilt-free. Last year’s virtual events raised over £170,000, so the bar is raised high.
All you need to do to purchase an item is visit @womenforwomenuk on Instagram tomorrow from 11am to see the programme for items going on sale. They will be going live across celebrities’ Instagram channels at allotted time slots throughout the day.
Buyers can ‘swipe up’ on the seller’s Instagram channels to be directed to auction page on Givergy, where they can bid for their chosen item. Each seller’s pieces will be available to buy for a one-hour period. Good luck!
