In what could be one of the most anticipated brand collaboration to date, Target has announced an exciting partnership with Ulta Beauty at a select 100 stores across the country. The collaboration will bring a unique pop-up style shop inside select locations in what is sure to be a shopping experience unlike any other. So, what does this partnership mean for both Target and Ulta shoppers?

What to Expect From Target and Ulta Beauty Collaboration

The collaboration between major retailers means that both brands are committed to bringing a unique experience to an otherwise ordinary Target trip. It is well known that Target is no stranger to partnerships and collaborations— in fact, it’s part of the reason the beloved mega-retailer has captured the hearts (and wallets) of so many. By continuously featuring upscale and typically out-of-reach labels to the everyday consumer, it’s become a store that shoppers have come to not only love but trust. The upcoming Ulta Beauty collab is expected to be no different.

Ulta Beauty at Target will represent a “shop-in-shop” concept to consumers, meaning that Ulta will bring its knowledge of all things beauty in a convenient shopping form a la Target. Shoppers will be able to enjoy Ulta beauty brands as well as seek information and guidance from associates trained at an Ulta Beauty standard of quality level. Shoppers will also be able to make use of Ulta Beauty’s GLAMlab, a virtual makeup try-on tool that allows guests to test products before purchasing in a clean and healthy manner.

Which Brands Will Be Sold at Ulta Beauty for Target?

Ulta is known for being a one-stop shop for all things beauty. Differing from traditional upscale or elevated beauty stores like Sephora, Ulta beauty combines designer brands with drugstore labels under the same roof to offer a wide variety of products (and price points) to guests. Additionally, Ulta customers have the option of taking their beauty routine to the next level with in-store salons (please note that the Target and Ulta collaboration will not include salon services). Target guests can expect this same level of expertise as well as mix of brands available from the shop-in-shop concept.

The following are some but not all brands that will be available at Ulta Beauty for Target:

  • Anastasia Beverly Hills
  • IT Cosmetics
  • Drybar
  • Bumble and bumble
  • bareMinerals
  • TooFaced
  • MORPHE
  • Tula skincare
  • Smashbox
  • Sunday Riley
  • Tarte
  • St. Tropez
  • MAC Cosmetics
  • The Ordinary
  • Urban Decay
  • Jack Black

In addition to offering prestige beauty brands at Target, in-house Ulta beauty brand products will also be available to shop. An array of makeup, skincare and haircare products are to be expected.

Use Target Circle and Ultamate Rewards at Ulta Beauty for Target

Obviously, we love a good deal around here – and especially a good rewards program. Most Target and Ulta devotees are aware of each reward program and if you are not, each program is more than worth signing up for.

Target’s reward program, Target Circle, is a quick and easy way to save and earn cash-back every time you shop. Target Circle features exclusive savings deals and overtime tailors savings offers to your shopping trends, so that you won’t have a major letdown of paying full price for the items you actually went to Target to buy.

Ulta beauty’s Ultamate Rewards program allows shoppers to earn points for every dollar spent at the beauty retailer. As Ultamate Rewards points add up, shoppers can cash in on rewards and apply them towards purchases or salon services, for instance- save $3 off your purchase once you reach 100 Ultamate Rewards points.

Good news! Target guests will earn rewards for both (yes, both!) rewards programs when they shop Ulta Beauty at Target. Pro tip: stack RetailMeNot Cash Back offers when shopping online at Target for even greater savings, or try any of our tips for saving at Target.

When Will Ulta Beauty at Target Open?

The unveiling of the shop-in-shop collaboration is set for August 2021. However, an official date has yet to be released. It is also unclear at this time if debuts will vary depending on location. This being said, you can check here for updates regarding hours.

Will Ulta Beauty be Available to Shop at Every Target?

Currently the retailer collaboration will be available at a select 100 Target store locations, with majority of locations being in California, Colorado, Minnesota, New York and Texas. You can check here to see the full list of participating locations.

Shopping Options Available for Ulta Beauty at Target

Although in-store pickup options were available prior to the 2020 pandemic, they were certainly not used to the extent that they are now. Needless to say, 2020 was a catalyst for many societal changes like working from home and contactless delivery services. Luckily, Target does not see this benefit ending anytime soon and has included Ulta Beauty in its Target.com shopping experience. Target online shoppers will have the option to pickup in store or curbside, or use same-day delivery through Shipt.
